Hello chickadees!
Sorry, I know that I'm super overdued of a proper post.
But hey, here I am. :D
I just came back from a shower & man, do I feel so refreshed.
Though in the midst of it, my nose started bleeding through my left nostril. :/
Mommy said that it is supposedly caused by my left ear
as it is connected to my nose? *shrugs*
Beats me.
So, I came back from Singapore around noon.
To resolve an urgent matter at hand.
Went to Causeway Point for early lunch after that.
Bumped into Carol & did a little grocery shopping with her.
I found your mascarpone cheese when I went to Cold's Storage the 2nd time babes! :D
Send her off at the 950 bus stand & off I go to reunite with my family.
Craved for some pasta so it's lunch @ Pasta Mania!
Latte Freeze and Peach Lychee Soda.
Spinach Tortellini.
Snagged a few from Eugene, it tasted mushy.
Teriwasa Tori!
Which translates glazed teriyaki chicken with linguine. (:
The table next to us were occupied by three Caucasian ladies.
One of them brought her baby girl along.
They were talking among themselves & suddenly,
her baby girl shrieked so that her mom would know that
she needs something to munch on.
Then her mom spoke softly, telling her it's not okay
to do that in public & she nodded fervently.
Ahhh isn't that just adorable!
Did a little bit of grocery shopping with the family.
BAKING WARES ARE SUCH A TEMPTATION. D:
Headed back home after that.
Tiny flowers in my house garden. (:
Mini chiffons from Yummi Chiffons.
Cranberry Soya, Strawberry Yoghurt & Blueberry Cheese!
Art Central was having Animal Night so I laid on Ed's bed, and watched it tentatively.
Now I wish I'd asked Mommy to subscribe
National Geographic and Animal Planet for me. ):

Steamboat on Chinese New Year Eve!
It's kind of a tradition in our family. (:
Thursday, 7th February 2008
Happy Lunar New Year! (:
Last year where we had Chinese New Year celebration in school.
Adeline & April would know what's going on in this picture. ;D
I miss my classmates so terribly much.. I want to see them now. ):
Had to stay at home for the first day of new year.
Wasn't feeling too well when I woke up.
Aunty made vermicelli & curry with potatoes and eggs. :X
My neighbour hired a lion dance troupe to perform, like every other year. :/
It wasn't as loud as the previous years though, good thing too!
We were all wearing red that day.
I'd say it's pretty awesome!

Second day of Chinese New Year.
Made our first house visit to Uncle Rodney & Aunty Kim's place.
Indoor fish pond.
Their second son came down & was kind of appalled to see us there.
I looked back to see and a familiar figure presents itself, Then Eu Chuan.
He retraced back his steps and ran upstairs swiftly.
My parents were close friends with Uncle Rodney & Aunty Kim.
But we don't really know too much about their kids.
Well.. the world is indeed, very small.
A common friend of my dad & Uncle Rodney came for a visit as well, along with his wife.
The adults were conversing among themselves while my brother,
Eugene & I explore the grounds.
Very Zen & serene.
Real tiger skin.
I'd have to admit, it made me felt slightly uneasy looking at it.
Oh, Eugene & I also noticed that it's eyes were replaced by marbles. :/
Horses are just so majestic & beautiful.
I wonder if I ever get to do horseback riding.. D:
A mini heli-pad.
Noon was arriving,
so we decided to make a move as another family welcomed themselves in.
Bid adieu & swoosh! We zoomed off for lunch @ Kinsahi.
Momsie! ♥
Nothing really appealed to me so I went for the Curry Udon.
Which I must say, turned out quite tasty. (:
Peter came by after bowling with Ed.
We had an unexpected drop by after dinner.
My uncle & cousins.
Watched a tiny bit of Fashion Rocks 2007 before Survivor Micronesia premieres.
I thought the favourites would nail their first immunity challenge & own the fans
but they probably took it too lightly on 'em.
The fans are hardcore & that's pretty admirable.
Oh my gosh, it's still hard to believe that
Johnny Fairplay was the first to be voted out at tribal council.
People do change for the better I suppose. (:
Saturday, 9th February 2008
Debbie (I call her Debbers) came to drop off some goodies in the afternoon.
The Notebook on Ch5, cake delights & a good cry fest all over Singapore.
Brilliant.
Sunday, 10th February 2008
Mid-day meal @ the Sizzling Stonegrill.
Spicy Salmon Spaghetti.
My fruit punch and uhm.. tobasco sauce?
Went to MPH & no SueLynn again.
It appears that I always get her on her off days. :/
The Java Chip in Bugis' Starbucks outlet is the yummiest! :O
But I guess this will make do for now.
Aunty's treat! (:
(not the lady at the counter.. but the one in yellow.)

The only thing I could remember is that Peter & Philip came over.
Then it was telly all the way 'til late night.
Tuesday, 12th February 2008
It was our 38th monthsary & things didn't go too smooth.
That's alright, 'cause they'll be many more to come! :D

Lao Yu Sheng!
Worked on Baby's surprise the entire night & only turned in around 4am.
I've tossed & turned for an hour.. I'm still wide awake.
I can feel my body heat increasing & the splitting headache was just unbearable.
My left ear was blocked too. I was feeling awful.
So I trudged downstairs to tell my Grandma about it
& she went upstairs to take care of me 'til the sun rises into the skies.
Wetting the cloth on my feverish forehead, soothing my back & praying for me constant
that my headache would subside so I could sleep.
I felt so much better after that.
I ♥ my Grandma so very much! (:

Happy Valentine's! ♥
Grandma cooked my favourite congee for me! Awwww.. <3
Made a trip to the doc's.
Came back & took my medication before occupying myself with sappy love movies.
Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen looked pretty adorable in It Takes Two.
That was when they were little kids.
In the years before World War II,
Chiyo is torn from her penniless family to work in a geisha house.
Despite a treacherous rival who nearly breaks her spirit,
the girl blossoms into the legendary geisha Sayuri.
Beautiful and accomplished, Sayuri captivates the most powerful men of her day,
but is haunted by her secret love for the one man beyond her reach.
Memoirs of a Geisha intrigues very powerful emotions.
How Chiyo was brought up & to learn that she couldn't love someone..
But as you can see in the picture I posted, all ends well. (:

Our 50th bestie monthsary! :D
Love you hunnie buns. s2
Lao Yu Sheng.. again. :D
We had din dins @ the usual.
Only managed to capture a few pictures 'cause I was busy eating. :D

Happy 19th Birthday Baby! :D ♥
We could have gone out to celebrate together but well, it's a long story.
Thinking back on it makes my heart ache a little so yeah..
Halfway done.
It was tough trying to sketch the girl perfectly.
The guy looks mighty fine tho. (:
And he tugs at my heart strings.. s2
Baby's birthday card!
My Girl spices up my weekends.
And Aunty made something yummy for dinner.
Sunday, 17th February 2008
Went to Gianni's for lunch after churchie.
Fresh Green Apple Juice, Ice Lemon Tea, Marocchino & Plain Water with a slice of lemon.
Ciabatta served with olive oil & vinegar.
Mummy's Salmon with Mash Potatoes.
Didn't know the name of the dish 'cause it was so lengthy to remember. :/
Grandma's Seafood Spaghetti.
My Linguine alla creama di Gemberi.
This, is from memory. :D
Eugene's Chicken with Potatoes.
Pretty laced cushions.
Torta di nocciole ricotta gelato cioccolato.
Hazelnut and ricotta cake topped with chocolate gelato ice cream.
Torta di ricotta cheesecake.
Cheesecake with balsamic strawberries.
The urge of moving over to the kitchen to snap pictures wouldn't cease,
even after lunch ended.
The chefs looked friendly & approachable.
'Cause whenever I turn back to see how they go about cooking,
they would return a smile when they spot me looking.
Oh hey! It rhymes too. :D
Anyways, the interior design of the restaurant was posh and sophisticated.
The throw pillows gives a nice homey touch to it.
It was a pity I didn't really get to view the kitchen.. looks lovely tho.
I reckoned Gianni serves authentic Italian food
as there was a Caucasian chef among the other locals.
Since the dishes are authentic,
it's expected that it would be pricier than those of the unauthentic ones.
But it is definitely worth its value, I assure. (:
My Linguine alla creama di Gemberi has cranberries in it.
You must be thinking, wouldn't it taste weird?
Well, I can only tell you that it's nothing like I ever tasted before.
A simple, unique & refreshing dish that savours on your taste bud
for the rest of the day. :D
I was stuck between deciding if I wanted a Marocchino or Macchiato,
so I went for the mish mash 'cause it sounded interesting.
The Marocchino is mixed with a shot of espresso, cacao & milk.
Just how I liked my drink, frothy. ;D
It seemed like my family was enjoying themselves as well.
We were all discussing about how different it is & how yummy each dishes are.
You have to try their Torta di ricotta Cheesecake!
Soft & fluffy.. it makes you want to float. lol
Well, y'know what happened after that..
My second uncle from the maternal side popped by with his kids.
Wasn't in the mood to go out for dinner but it's a must since we had visitors.
When I came back, I plopped on the couch & switched to Ch5
to see Around The World in 80 days.
While the bag snatching incident has been replaying in my mind
every time I go to sleep for these couple of nights..
Taunting experience, really. :/

Sweets for my sweet!
Telly shows would be the highlight of my day. lol (:

Awakened real early to see the ear specialist,
as advised by my family doctor when I went to see the doc's on v'day.
Dr Siow was an amiable doctor.
When he entered the clinic, he gave everyone a huge wide smile
before settling at his work space.
Firstly, he gave a quick scan for both of my ears.
He took still photos so I could see for myself & gosh, I was gobsmacked.
The ear wax built up in my left ear was fully filled up,
which explains why I couldn't hear proper for I don't know.. more than a decade? :X
So yes, now you know why I need you to keep repeating to me
what you've just said when I couldn't hear you.
Well, this ear problem has been with me since I was 5?
The doctor gave me a liquid solution & told me that
I had to use it everyday and the wax will come off itself.
It was only until now that I know that it will only come off
if you use it constant for 2 months or so?
I thought it was an instant solution, apparently it didn't prove so.
I decided not to use it after a few days' of not hearing with my left ear,
it was truly agonizing.
Never got around to resolve this problem 'cause it meant seeing a specialist.
It always terrifies me to think that it could be something major like surgery & such.
But nope, just the removal of a simple ear wax blockage.
My family doctor told me that Dr Siow would probably use a warm solution,
spurt it into your ear & the wax would instantly dissolve.
Then all he has to do is clean the wax away.
"Michelle, I'm going to have to dig out your wax
'cause yours appears to be too hard for the solution to dissolve."
Frankly, I hesitated if I want to do it as I don't handle pain well.
But he kept trying to ease my discomfort & anxiety throughout the entire process.
Dr Siow tried every instrument possible
that he could insert into my ear to extract the ear wax.
When he found the right one,
he dug deep at the circumference of my ear hole & pop! out it comes.
My mommy & I thought he only took out part of it
as my surroundings didn't seem too amplified after the extraction.
That was when he told me that the procedure was done.
Thought the ear wax would be brown/yellowish but it's like..
rock hard, solid black. :/
I had thoughts of posting up a picture
but I wouldn't want my readers to lose their appetite over it.
Did an ear test and Dr Siow told me that my ears are alright. (:
He told me not to use ear buds as it would somehow harm your ears.
So I went to ask, what do you do when water gets into your ears?
He said that the ear canal is like a cul de sac so the water will flow out by itself.
Well, he's the specialist so I'll just take his words for it.
Shook his hand and thank him for giving back my hearing on my left ear.
No more mono but, stereo ears baby! (my family doctor was trying
to make a funny. lol)
Walked over to the parking lot & we headed home directly
so that I could check my posting results.
Thanks Baby for being so supportive all these while..
Helping me regain my confidence bit by bit. <3
& you're right Shun Li.
Men work, men work. Men pray, God work. (:
Thanks for being there that day, & the prayers too.
ANTM cycle 9 premieres & the girls who made it this time round are so gorgeous.
Chantal & Janet are my favourites for now.. appearance wise.
I love Victoria's look but she's not very nice during casting so yeah.. we'll see!
I was watching E! after ANTM and I didn't know that stars like
Ryan Gosling, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears,
Justin Timberlake & JC Chasez used to be in the Mickey Mouse Club.
They were super cute, for reals.
& no more Grey's Anatomy on Ch5 anymore. D:
Well, that pretty much sums up my Tuesday.
