Jonas Brothers - Hold On
NICK JONAS' CORKY CHARMS MAKES ME GO WEAK IN THE KNEES. ♥
From his short boyish curly bob to being musically inclined
down to his buff biceps & just.. everything.
Joe Jonas is alright but y'know it's all about the Nick factor! :D
Nick Jonas Show!
The boy's just too cute for words. (:
I rolled into bed at 5am last night & woke up around 11am this morning.
'Cause of this mozzie in my room that's been hovering above me while I'm sleeping.
So I had to cover the sheets over my head the entire night.
One slip, mozzie attacks & leaves you with itchy bites. :/
But what really bugged me was the buzzing, ringing in my ears all night
that irked me so bad I just decided to wake up early & avoid the mozzie altogether.
After washing up, I spot mozzie heading towards me again.
This time, I swiftly clasp my hands, ending with a loud thud.
PIAK! Uh oh.
Well.. you know how it ends.
A few days back, I was watching Jamie's Great Italian Escape on Travel & Living.
And today, he's on Martha Stewart showing us how to do
the traditional Italian pasta & salad.
Jamie Oliver scooping up some pasta for Martha Stewart.
Yummy Italian Pasta served.
Now, on to the salad!
*flick flick flick*
Shredded in no time.
Ain't that a cool kitchen gadget!
Salad dressing concoction.
OoOoh, look at that effect! lol.
Flaky Croissants.

It was Chap Goh Meh (final day of cny) so we got to Lao Yu Sheng
for the last time of the year. :D
Ed ate the one & only 85% dark chocolate piece of the bunch.
I had the 70% one and already found it bitter but, I like it. (:
Guess we take after our dad. hees.

Mommy packed me something slightly unexpected for lunch.
Haven't had laksa in a long while so yup, it's quite a treat. :D

When I went to the bathroom to wash up, the phlegm I discarded had blood in it. :/
Grandma told me it's a sign of heatiness so I downed
as much water as possible within the day.
I was afraid my baking flair would fizzle
if I store those skills away for a long period of time.
So along with the temptation stirred by Ellie Won
and the people @ Bake! Bake! Bake! livejournal community,
I'm back to baking again! (:
A big thanks to Mommy who got me the ingredients I needed
despite how busy she was that day. ♥
I didn't have a grater so I had to peel the carrots into thin slices
before chopping 'em into smaller bits.
Did the same for the pecans, diced 'em into tiny chunks.
Before.
After.
It was a tad burnt at the top but a little scrapping off would do the trick. ;D
With the pecan & cream cheese frosting on.
Ready to chill in the fridge!

Props to Afann for the edits!
I did some additions to it, like the words & the lighting.
The original. (:
I shouldn't have scrimped on the frosting. D:
'Cause I was thinking.. since we're all so health conscious,
it would be alright to lessen the frosting.
If not for that, it would've been the best carrot cake ever!
When it comes to carrot cake, remember NOT to be thrifty with the frosting.
But still, it was a big hit with my family.
They couldn't resist having a piece after another. (:
I could say so for myself too!
Hmmm.. pondering about what I should bake next.

Mystery Hunters were searching for this ginormous shark
that is said to be 10 times bigger than a great white shark.
There has been a few witnesses & when Araya went down
to the ocean bed of a particular country,
he found a tooth of a shark that has been fossilized.
Megaladon & Great White Shark's tooth respectively.
It belongs to a Megaladon, a giant prehistoric shark
that probably lived between about 16 to 1.5 million years ago.
Some cryptozoologists argue that this shark might still be alive in this modern age
as the cause for its extinction is uncertain.
I was really hoping to see Araya & Christina catch it on video,
it would've been so cool.
Did a bit of 'ketchup' with Rebekah darling on MSN. (:
I feel myself coming back and man, does it feel great!
When you don't have to curb your personality and just speak your mind.
If you're reading this huns, I miss you! D:

Some of us, keep rushing ourselves to mature.
But I just don't understand why..
You have the rest of your life to do so but why pick now?
I wish I could be a kid sometimes.
Like Susan said, that every intentions we hold
would then be pure, untainted & unintended.
We wouldn't come to know what hurt is 'cause of
the constant love & assurance embracing us.
Sound & wise decisions, our parents make for us.
We don't have to wonder about the consequences it brings or worry about anything.
We just have to go about doing it 'cause we know they only want the best for us.
Then we would be around people who are honest & frank, without motives or schemes.
Friends we would all be, where we hold no grudges or cook up any dispute.
Innocence, where'd you gone to?
Well, it's just a thought. (:
Quote of the day
"When you love someone, and they break your heart.
Don’t give up on love, have faith, restart."

I'm so flipped off right now.
I was going to start blogging today but I'm afraid not.
A certain unexpected circumstance has forced me to put things on hold.
Mommy, Eugene, Grandma & I were dining at Gianni's for lunch today.
We took a stroll to our car after exiting the restaurant.
Grandma was walking up front, abreast Eugene.
When we were about to cross the road near the alley,
a Malay motorcyclist made a turn to the left
& swooped down to snatch Grandma's handbag.
Grandma wrestled her handbag back with all her might but failed to get it back.
The rest of us were far behind so we were pretty clueless when that has taken place.
My Mommy & Grandma shouted for help
while Eugene & I gave immediate chase to that motorcyclist thief.
We stopped sprinting when he made a right turn down the other end of the road.
Eugene wanted to take down the plate number but it was beyond a clear sight shot.
There were two lady passerby in front of us who knew what was going on
and didn't make any attempt to halt the thief or at least yelp for any assistance.
That sadden me a whole lot.
Nothing against the Malay race but,
I really hope that guy is filled with so much guilt right now
he'll regret for what he had just did.
Thank God Grandma wasn't hurt at all!
We were so relieved that she escaped from that scene unhurt.
It was tough recovery from that shock for all of us tho.
If we did managed to pull him off his bike,
he would've been beaten into a pulp.
Could have been different if Ed was there too.
He would crush him to bits.
Grandma was thinking he would stash out the cash
& leave her bag near the crime scene.
So we made rounds around the vicinity in hope to find Grandma's handbag.
Mommy reckoned he took it back home to ransack through for valuables.
We gave up the search & headed back home indignantly, my brother & I that is.
Grandma's bible, a hundred buckaroos and her other things are in there.
Along with an important document, her IC as well as our house keys.
Until the locksmith comes to change all the locks,
night brings another kind of fear.
If you're roaming around that area,
please be more cautious of your surroundings.
Keep your belongings close to you.
It's better to avoid hanging about there.
I can't help feeling that it's entirely my fault.
Told Mommy about Gianni's sometime ago & she decided to bring us there today.
Mommy once reminded us about that area being notorious for bag snatchers.
I just didn't expect it to be us, we've always been so cautious.
If it hadn't been for this, today would've gone great.
I wish I could tell someone what I've been going through..
I've been keeping it to myself, letting it accumulate & ignoring the fact that
I need somebody to lean on because, everybody does.
A pillar of support & strength to tide you through difficult times.
But I even find it so hard to pour out my affairs of the heart to a reliable friend,
no less a casual one.
'Cause if it's something that has no apt solutions to it,
it would only be another source of burden to the people I confide in.
And I truly don't want that.
It was only recently did I realize how wonderful it feels
to be genuinely happy for your friends.
Not the kind where you have to because it makes you look like a good friend.
Like the moment when we were receiving our O level results,
I was truly delighted for those who did so well.
They worked diligently all year & deserved their desired results.
For the top scorers, Abu, Hafiz.. they earned it. (:
I wouldn't want to trade their happiness with my sorrows.
So I'll just turn to God whenever I'm lonely and afraid.
He might not respond to my prayer, but I know He'll be there to listen.
To sit by my side to comfort & understand the things people can't.
I am acutely aware of how miserable I am, right down to the very last bit.
Daddy Jesus, You're my saving grace.
Only You could lift this heavy rock pressing against my heart.
I need You here in my life Lord.. so much more.

Pain, you just have to ride it out,
hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals.
There are no solutions, no easy answers.
You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside.
Most of the time pain can be managed,
but sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it,
hits way below the belt and doesn't let up.
Pain you just have to fight through,
because the truth is you can't outrun it, and life always makes more.
v'day.
fever, blocked ear & aching body.
will blog when i feel better.
physically & emotionally.
so long for now.. x

The past few days have been filled with fleeting emotions and heavy hearts.
Sometimes when we think we're alone,
there's always someone out there who's going through the same thing,
and you have no idea how close that person really is.
We all tend to repress our feelings to a point where we become numbed.
When it gets too much to bear we let out a good cry
and a shoulder will always be there, or maybe not at all at times.
Incidents that have happened have forced me once again
to relook at my circumstances and question the very being of -
When you put in your heart and soul and things don't go as planned,
hesitation will mar the next opportunity you have.
When you try so hard the first time and fail,
the second time will suffer because you were afraid to give it your all again.
This fear is so real it hurts and incites twinges of sourness and sadness.
Things could have turned out much better,
if only we were all willing to throw caution to the wind
and our bodies into the fire.
Our hearts get punctured by disillusionment and parts of it get lost forever.
How then do we live and love with a whole heart from here on?
Some people build a wall while others hold back wonderful things
and snuff out the magic they could have conjured.
When there's nothing left to burn, we have to set ourselves on fire - it is not an
act of destruction but a symbol of rebirth and starting on a clean state.
Loving till we can love no more and giving our all in whatever we do,
even if it means getting hurt, burnt and scarred.
may i feel said he
(let's go said he
not too far said she
what's too far said he
where you are said she)
